January 2020 Shopping Diary
Oh hey there. I haven’t posted much lately because it’s been surprisingly busy work-wise. The upside to a lot of work, though, is that I haven’t had as much free time to think about shopping.

2019 marks my third year of trying to shop more ethically and sustainably. I look back over the year at the numbers — and the lessons I learned this year.
I’m writing this post later in the month than I usually do because I wanted to see if my Black Friday fashion buys made the cut. But, I’m still waiting for some of them to arrive. So, never mind. Onward.
October was a stressful month for me, which led to a lot of online browsing as a way to unwind.
Hello from the land of slow Internet. I’m away on a trip (not for fun), which I packed lightly for. Here’s my travel capsule wardrobe, plus an update on what I bought and decluttered last month.
August kept me busy, which was good for my goal of curbing shopping. I simply didn’t have the time and bought just one item. I also had to remove some shoes from my wardrobe because of problems with my feet. 🙁
It’s time for my monthly consumption check-in. This month I bought three things. Considering that in the first six months of the year, I added a grand total of five items to my wardrobe, three feels significant.
This month I added two items to my wardrobe. One of them was fast fashion. 😬
Just a quick check in on my consumption in May. I bought only one thing this month.
I was very good about not consuming much in the first three months of the year. April, though, is another story.
