I’ve been looking for a lampshade ever since the plastic shade on an old Target floor lamp of mine cracked. At IKEA recently, I was absolutely giddy upon seeing these beautiful shades.
I’m not encouraging you to buy stuff just to buy stuff. My struggle with wanting to buy stuff but wanting to pare down is the reason I started this blog. However, if you’re in the mood for shopping and looking for ethically-made, (hopefully) long lasting items, here are some brands I like (or have been curious about) having Cyber Monday and holiday sales.
On my last Target run, I couldn’t help but notice that the floor in the women’s department was full of coats and jackets, so I tried a bunch of them for fun (and for you, my dear reader).
If you’ve been following my blog, then you know I haven’t had much success with Everlane shoes because they run too narrow for my wide-ish feet. So, I was thrilled to hear about the new Editor Heel, which Everlane says runs on the big side. I just happen to be in the market for a smart pointy toe kitten heel.
Today’s review is about a boring, but important household organizing item: the shower caddy. For many years, I bought inexpensive wire shower caddies. But after a year or so, they’d get rusty and gross and I’d throw them out. What a waste! So I did some research and decided to spend a little more money on a higher-quality product. Here’s what I got — the Simple Human Adjustable Shower Caddy — and how it’s fared after a year.
In September, Everlane started selling jeans, which makes a lot of sense for a brand known for basics. It’s a wardrobe staple a lot of us can’t live without. But it took them two years to source a factory for their denim because they were searching for an environmentally-friendly factory.
Here are all my Everlane reviews in one post — organized by category and by item, alphabetically.
As you may know from my post about ThirdLove, I’m on the search for the perfect bra. The $68 ThirdLove Classic T-shirt Bra, while comfortable, ultimately didn’t work because the straps kept falling down. So why not take a look at the other end of the spectrum and check out this Uniqlo Beauty Light Wireless Bra, which costs just $19.90?
I love the look of joggers for those more casual days, but because I’m petite, they often end up being regular length on me. (That was the case with these Uniqlo joggers.) So, I kept my eye out for a pair of jogger pants than would work for my frame, and Ann Taylor delivered.
Well, I love to write about shoes on here, so we should talk about how to keep them organized. I went in search of a shoe rack that’s sturdy, easy to assemble, moderately priced, and not ugly.
