Happy new year, dear readers. 2018 marked my second year of blogging, chronicling the objects I love, the things I wanted that didn’t work out, and also my attempts to be a more conscious consumer. Here’s a look back at the most-read posts of the year.

Some of my favorite buys of the year:
- The aforementioned Everlane boatneck sweater. I reach for it a lot. It’s kind of perfect for San Francisco’s weather.
- The hand-made midcentury modern plant stand, which makes me happy when I look at it.
- These wedge shoes from Hopp Studios, which I haven’t reviewed yet but will.
- This black dress from Amour Vert. It was a rare spur-of-the-moment buy and I don’t regret it.
- Londontown Kur Instant Smudge Fix. It really works and it’s saved me from completely redoing a nail. (My review.)
In 2018, these things also happened:
- I learned that I, a petite person, can wear wide leg pants.
- An Everlane store opened in San Francisco, thus increasing the number of Everlane items I seem to review.
- I visited Mexico City for the first time and shared how I packed light for it.
- Ever the coffee addict, I found a reusable travel coffee mug that doesn’t spill and looks sleek.
- And I cut down on clothes shopping significantly. In 8 years, this was the least I’ve ever spent on clothes.
